Who are you?
Being a young white underground rapper in the city of Portland means constantly checking myself while still trying to be heard. I’m part of a scene that’s built on some DIY ethics, real community ethics, and a deep respect for where hiphop comes from and how we use it. Nothing is handed to me just because I make music if anything, I have to really show up more, listen more, and earn my place by being consistent.
Where are you from?
I am from the north side of Portland Oregon. Portland’s underground hiphop and rap ecosystem remains grassroots, collaborative, and very community centered. Unlike larger cities with major label and artist attention, PDX artists and organizers build momentum through independent projects, local showcases, and DIY events rather than mainstream corporate radio. This fosters a culture that values true authenticity, lyrical skill, and creative experimentation.
