Who are you?
I taught myself the piano and began songwriting around age eight. My first album was written and recorded at age 12. I started touring locally and continued producing albums between ages 13-25, eventually moving to Santa Cruz and attending UCSC as an art major with a concentration in oil painting. After graduating, I decided to turn from art and music, and become a physician. I completed a decade of training from 2013-2022 and am now a double board certified Pediatrician and Geneticist. During that time, I also got married and had two children. Once completing training I turned back to what I loved, songwriting, and created this album, "The Tempest." It is my 8th studio album and the first in a ten year hiatus, and it painstakingly details all the suffering, passion, love, and grief I went though while completing medical school, residency, and fellowship and becoming a first time mom. This album is meant to be listened to as a diary, a completed piece of work from start to finish, chronicling that time in my life.
Where are you from?
I am from Sacramento, CA. The music scene here is pretty small, much bigger in surrounding areas like the Bay Area.
