Jamaican Dancehall artist 1ndekxx has been delivering hard-hitting singles since 2021, steadily carving out a name for himself in the genre’s vibrant landscape. Born Leon Courtney Barrett on January 31, 1988, in White Hall, St. Thomas, Jamaica, his musical journey began at just nine years old while living in Kintyre District, Papine, Kingston 6.
At age 13, 1ndekxx recorded his first track alongside his mentor, Leroyne Thompson, marking the beginning of a promising creative path. The two collaborated on several singles, but rising gun violence forced him to relocate—first to Luke Lane, then back to his hometown of White Hall after facing similar challenges.
Despite these setbacks, 1ndekxx remained committed to his craft. His official debut single, "Walked Out," was released on July 8, 2021, under A Star Production via DistroKid. Since then, he has released several impactful tracks, including "Glock-19," "DeadZone" featuring 1seckta, "Dead End," and "Just a Moment."
His most recent release, "BAD PARTY," dropped on March 21, 2025, through “Jahdoniai Records” and is distributed by CD Baby. With each release, 1ndekxx continues to showcase his resilience, lyrical authenticity, and deep connection to the realities of Jamaican life.
